NALC NEWS FLASHBoard Names New Executive DirectorJanuary 3, 2003The NALC Board of Directors has reached an agreement with Governor Jim Hodges of South Carolina, to become the new Executive Director of the National Alliance of Life Companies. Governor Hodges will commence his tenure as our Executive Director on January 16, 2003, immediately after his term ends. He will be involved in additional business ventures, along with his association with the NALC. We are extremely excited about the opportunity to associate with Governor Hodges and to take this new direction for the NALC. He is intelligent and energetic and brings a wealth of knowledge and relationships to the NALC. Governor Hodges’ current Chief of Staff, William D. "Billy" Boan, will be joining him as a business partner and Mr. Boan will also be assisting with NALC activities. Both Governor Hodges and Mr. Boan are very familiar with the legislative and regulatory processes and are poised to lead the NALC. We are anxious to get started and will be bringing them up to speed very rapidly. We are confident that Governor Hodges will provide the outstanding leadership necessary to accomplish our goals.
