National Alliance of Life Companies Names Officers and Directors

The National Alliance of Life Companies (NALC) selected its officers and directors for 2006 at its Annual Meeting on May 18, 2006. The NALC is a trade association which represents the interests of small and mid-sized life and health insurance companies. It is located in Sarasota, Florida.

Kathy Demarino of The Londen Companies in Phoenix, Arizona will serve as President of the NALC. Gerry Kraus of Homesteaders Life Company of West Des Moines, Iowa will serve as Vice-President. Art Fess of Guarantee Trust of Glenview, Illinois will serve as Treasurer. Cam Waite of Penn Treaty American Corporation in Allentown, Pennsylvania will serve as Secretary. Fred Meese of Great Western Insurance Company in Ogden, Utah is the Immediate Past President. These individuals shall serve as Directors during 2006.

Joining the group on the Board of Directors for 2006 are the following:

  • Roger Annin of Lewis and Ellis, Overland Park, Kansas;

  • Rob Hardy of Investors Heritage Life Insurance Company of Frankfort, Kentucky;

  • Lynne Lowe of Life Insurance Company of Alabama of Gadsden, Alabama;

  • Scott Quist of Security National Life Insurance Company of Salt Lake City, Utah;

  • Bob Ries of Philadelphia United Life Insurance Company of Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania; and

  • Rod Ross of Equitable Life and Casualty Insurance Company of Salt Lake City, Utah.

At the meeting, the members also expressed appreciation for the service of Fred Meese as President during the prior year by presenting him with the Gavel Award.
